Strength & Dignity Series – Part 2
True Beauty can be summed up by the verse that represents this series:
“Strength and Dignity are her clothing and she smiles at the future.”
Therefore Godly strength and dignity are needed desperately. We must be strong enough to engage in difficult and differing conversations and beliefs; to listen and be curious without getting defensive and fearful. As well, we must be dignified enough to speak truth with love and a gentle and quiet spirit which God finds precious! (1Peter 3:4) We must have His strength and be defined by His dignity to be truly beautiful as we care for our identity, needs and beliefs without degrading someone else in the process.
I believe as Christians we can be respectful and dignified to sit in these conversations and request, “tell me more,” while never abandoning God’s truths. Because if we are to truly be the salt and light to this world, we must be thoughtful. God will provide receptive hearts in this world to hear His truths. Some will listen and some, maybe many will not. But our job is to plant His seed, God will prosper.
But if others do not see or FEEL Jesus IN us, living out the fruits of the spirit like Galatians 5:22-23 tells us, it is not very likely that they will Hear us.
So what does that look like? How are we equipped to do that?
